  • Time Management:
    Learn monthly, weekly and daily strategies for taking control of your time.

  • Motivation and Goal Setting:
    Focus on setting long-term and mid-range goals, how to work toward them, and how they affect every day activities such as studying and time management.

  • Stress Management:
    Explore causes of stress as well as methods of managing stress.

  • Learning Styles:
    Focus on helping to identify your preferred learning style and adopting study strategies that best suit your learning style.

  • Memory Techniques:
    Focus on the powerful mental faculty of memory. Explore factors that effect memory and practice techniques and methods you can use to sharpen your memory.

  • Note Taking:
    Focus on listening, organizing and annotating, as well as strategies for taking and using lecture and discussion notes effectively.

  • Reading Textbooks:
    Focus on previewing, reviewing, annotation and other active reading strategies for understanding college-level texts.

  • Test-Taking and Exam Preparation:
    Learn how to systematically review material for all types of exams. Recommended as a prerequisite for the Test-Taking Strategies workshop. Also effective strategies to use during exams to help avoid distractions, common mistakes and stress. Exam Preparation is a helpful prerequisite for this workshop.
