Stressing over a big paper? Not sure how to begin or what to do with your rough draft? Located inside the Think Tank, the Writing Center provides individualized peer tutoring to meet your writing needs for all classes throughout all stages of the writing process. We offer two types of FREE writing tutoring: drop-in and by-appointment.

Our peer tutors participate in a rigorous training process and they adhere to the principle that all writing decisions are ultimately your responsibility. After all…it’s your paper.

Writing Drop-in Tutoring:

FREE Drop-in tutoring is perfect for students that are always busy, always on the go. We understand that you see the writing process as a “work in progress” and that you like to work as you go…We get it.

That’s why our peer tutors who are always ready to jump-in and help you with your writing regardless of whether you are brainstorming a thesis, organizing your paper, or still trying to figure out what rhetorical analysis is all about.

Writing by-appointment Tutoring:

The Think Tank provides FREE tutoring by-appointment for students who wish to call ahead and meet with our peer tutors during a specific time of day. You like a more structured approach, and we’re ok with that.

Appointments are 30 minutes in duration, which allow students sufficient time to share their writing concerns with peer tutors. After the appointment students are free to work in the Writing Center and work with our rotating drop-in tutors.
