Academic Alliances

The University of Arizona is working with local campuses to improve the experience of those veterans interested in transferring to the UA.

Federal Relations

The Office of Federal Relations is the UA's liaison between the UA and the federal government. This unit coordinates UA's participation in the appropriations process and UA's relationships with Members of Congress and the Executive Branch agencies.

Institutional Access & Enrollment

Veterans will be assisted by specific individuals in admissions, registrar’s office, financial aid and GI Bill benefits administration as they go through the process of being admitted to the UA and getting enrolled in the transition curriculum. This includes:

Transition Courses

The University of Arizona and the University Teaching Center are offering an academic success program for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. The program consists of four college-credit courses that will help you convert your military training and experience into lifelong success skills. The program is an on-ramp for getting your college degree.

Major Exploration

University College provides academic advising services, help and resources for students exploring majors. Clearly identify your own interests, values and skills and use that knowledge to make informed decisions when choosing or changing a major. In today's economy, learning about the many possible career fields related to your major is the key to your future success.

Student Veterans of America

The Student Veterans of America at the University of Arizona is an officially-recognized university club that promotes community building for student veterans and campus awareness of the veterans population. Each of our Reserve Officer Training Corps has a wealth of online information. As the NROTC site says "click 'till you drop.' And, of course, they want to hear from you.
