Professionals Roundtable

On September 22 -25, the Disabled Veterans Reintegration and Education Project hosted the first annual Veterans in Higher Education Professionals Roundtable.

The 22 participants represented institutions of higher education as well as non-profit organizations from across the nation. These professionals work directly with student veterans and have established programs to ease the initial transition to campus and support their success in college. The Roundtable focused on dynamics of disability and identity, and encouraged participants to reconceptualize how college campuses facilitate transition to campus and throughout the student experience.

Roundtable participants will remain in touch and serve as a professional network of support for one another and continue to serve as leaders in the area of veterans in higher education.
